Event Summary
Around the world tributes to Robert Burns are held through the ritual of the Burns Supper. Originally started a few years after his death by a group of his friends and acquaintances to honour his memory, the suppers are now celebrated annually on or around the date of his birth, 25-January.
And, if you are lucky enough, we may read a poem or two from his catalogue. We've also prepared a Robert Burns quiz to give you some further insight into his life and the origins of the evening.
Come join us as Taiwan's greatest British Chef, Martin McLeod of Black Pudding Suite, consulting on traditional UK delicacies with the chef of Grand Hyatt Taipei, matches haggis with an aptly-named Douglas Laing Whisky, the 'Timorous Beastie', in this warm, cosy setting on 18-January 2023.
Seats are strictly limited so please book early and come celebrate the life of one the greats; Robert Burns.
