The King's Ginger Liqueur became famous in the reign of King Edward VII when, at the request of the King's doctor, it was produced as a warming drink for His Majesty to take after winter morning rides in his new horseless carriage. The distinctive smooth ginger flavour is perfectly balanced by a pleasingly clean, dry finish.

- Nose: It is unmistakably Ginger – a cloud of fresh natural ginger with a faint aura of zesty lemon swiftly entices the first sip.
- Palate: The initial flow of ginger syrup sweetness is gently interrupted by the tingle of fresh ginger and a subtle and gentle uplift of lemon citrus. Warm, fulfilling and of great length.

Our Legacy - The Original Winter Warmer
King Edward VII would endlessly drive his beloved Daimler, whatever the weather. In 1903 the Royal Physician became concerned about the monarch's health. So, he called on Berry Bros. and Rudd for a solution, a high strength liqueur that would warm and revivify His Majesty. Crafted from ginger, (for centuries celebrated for its medicinal properties) The King's Ginger was born.
Why the new packaging, and why now?
Over the years The King's Ginger has been sold in a wide array of bottles and labels. After more than a century, we feel it is proper to give it a new look that will stand the test of time by reinforcing its peerless heritage and assert its premium credentials.
It's not every spirit that can see in its 117th Birthday. Revitalizing drinkers for over a century, it was time for The King's Ginger to enjoy the
fruits of its own labour; to be revitalised. We wanted to make sure that King's continued to be the first choice for all our consumers, taking
on concerns over alcohol percentage, and making it easier to mix in cocktails and enjoy from the hipflask essentially amplifying the King's
Ginger experience for existing lovers of the King's Ginger.
