BCCTaipei's 2022 UK Renewables Committee (UKRC) Internship Programme


We are pleased to announce applications are open for an Exciting Internship Opportunity in the Renewables Industry during the 2022 summer vacation.

 

The Renewable Energy Industry is one of the fastest-growing industries currently providing more than 12 million jobs globally with this number expected to grow by 20% annually. Taiwan has been at the forefront of Asia's renewable energy push with the government committing to 20% of total electricity coming from renewable sources by 2025, with a large portion of this coming from offshore wind. The UK has been at the forefront of offshore wind development since its inception, maintaining an unmatched reputation for innovation and supply chain development, and UK companies have pioneered the development of Taiwan's offshore wind industry. The UKRC boasts 36 member companies, across all tiers of the industry, actively working in Taiwan today, and a number of these companies are participating in this BCCTaipei internship programme.

 

This two to three month internship is your opportunity to gain priceless work experience in Taiwan's Renewable Energy Industry.

Who are you:

  • A university student or a recent graduate under the age of 26, or someone who has graduated within the last two years who studied a relevant subject
  • Interested in a career within the Renewable Energy Industry
  • Motivated and keen to take on an internship with responsibility and defined deliverables
  • A good communicator with solid English language skills
  • A quick learner who loves challenges
  • Able to commit at least three days a week for the two to three month duration of the program during the 2022 summer vacation
  • Have the appropriate work permissions/residency status to undertake an internship in Taiwan
