BCCTaipei 2023 UK Renewables Committee (UKRC) Internship Programme - Recruitment Day

We are pleased to invite you to join the last stage of the BCCTaipei x UKRC Internship Programme 2023 recruitment process at our Recruitment Day on 1-June (Thursday).

The Recruitment Day will be held at Taiwan International Windpower Training Corporation Ltd. (TIWTC, 臺灣風能訓練股份有限公司) in Taichung, where you will meet other candidates and have a chance to get hands-on experience of life in the offshore wind industry.

Transportation:

You must arrange your own transportation (reimbursable) to arrive Taichung HSR station (台中高鐵站) before 08:20.

If traveling from Taipei, please take HSR Train Number 805/109 at 07:11/07:31 from Taipei HSR Station, arriving Taichung at 08:15/08:18.

***Reasonable return travel expenses [point of origin to Taichung HSR] may be reimbursed, provided supported by original receipt/ticket and/or electronic invoice***

Meeting/Pick-up point:

Taichung HSR Station, Exit 6, departing at 08:25 sharp. Ensure to arrive there on time! Transport between Taichung HSR and TIWTC will be provided.

Dress code and what you need to prepare:

Personal Protective Equipment 個人防護裝備: for safety, students should bring their own personal safety shoes (steel-toed shoes). If you do not possess any, please wear ordinary sports shoes. Wear suitable clothing for activities. We recommend that you wear long trousers to minimise the risk of injury. We also recommend that you bring waterproof clothes or raincoats in case of rain. Other required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, training gloves and helmets will be provided. 為了實作課的操作安全性，學員請自行攜帶個人用安全鞋(鋼頭鞋，如果沒有的話就穿一般的運動鞋) 穿著適合活動的衣物前來上課，建議穿著長褲以避免課程操作中受傷。高空作業實作課因天候因素可能下雨，建議另攜帶防水衣物或雨衣。其他所需的個人防護裝備包括安全眼鏡、訓練手套及頭盔將由風訓公司提供。
Extra clothes (for Sea Survival course) 個人換洗衣物 (海上求生課程將進行水上訓練): the training center provides shower rooms. Please bring your own swimsuit, trousers, a change of clothes and towels. 訓練中心提供盥洗室，請自備泳衣、褲，換洗衣物及毛巾。

15:00-15:20 Candidates submit their preferred 3 internship companies.
15:20-17:00 GWO Working at Height or Sea Survival taster session
17:00-17:30 Certificate ceremony, wrap-up and close
17:30-18:20 Transportation (TIWTC to Taichung HSR)

Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the assessment day shortly after the event.

This two to three month internship is your opportunity to gain priceless work experience in Taiwan's Renewable Energy Industry.
