British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei: Political & Economic Update from the British Office

to be conducted under Chatham House Rule.

BCCTaipei cordially invites you to hear John Dennis, Representative of the British Office Taipei, and his team speak about the UK/Taiwan relationship and the work of the Mission and that of the Department for International Trade team. There will be a Q&A session (10-15 minutes) open to all BCCTaipei members directly followed by BCCTaipei's monthly networking event, "Shaken Not Stirred", where you'll get a chance to mingle with officials from the British Office Taipei, which includes free-flowing beer, wine, soft-drinks and a light gourmet meal.

Members are invited, when registering, to advise of questions or topics that they might wish to be addressed, and, subject to timing and ability, we'll do our best to cover them.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • Briefing on the UK/Taiwan relationship: key recent, and future, regional and bilateral developments, including the impacts of the pandemic, and overall planning assumptions
  • Briefing on overview of the Department for International Trade's priorities
  • Interactive discussion: Q and A
