Summary

St Patrick's Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.

Saint Patrick's Day, feast day (March 17) of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity. By the time of his death on March 17, 461, he had established monasteries, churches, and schools. Many legends grew up around him—for example, that he drove the snakes out of Ireland and used the shamrock to explain the Trinity. Ireland came to celebrate his day with religious services and feasts.

The most common St Patrick's Day symbol is the shamrock. The shamrock is the leaf of the clover plant and a symbol of the Holy Trinity. Many people choose to wear the color green and the flag of the Republic of Ireland is often seen in St Patrick's Day parades around the world. Irish brands of drinks are popular at St Patrick's Day events.

Your BCCT monthly Shaken Not Stirred includes free-flowing beer, wine, soft-drinks and a light gourmet meal. Come meet old friends and make new ones in a relaxed, informal setting.

Our Beautiful Green Bottle

Everything you need to know about Jameson is either on the bottle or in the bottle. So time to pull up a chair & grab a glasses...

Sine Met- Who?

Sine Metu. It's our family motto meaning 'Without Fear' and we wear it proudly on every bottle. Sine Metu is our attitude and defining culture.

Triple distilled, remarkably smooth, and unmistakably Jameson.

Like every family, ours is made up of individual characters. While each have their own personality, they're all part of a Jameson family focused on taste. Now that we've whet your appetite, allow us to quench your thirst.

In 1780, John Jameson established a way of making Irish whiskey that we've been proudly sticking to ever since.

As you can imagine, producing a blended Irish whiskey that has been enjoyed for over two centuries, takes a lot. But don't worry, we've distilled over 200 years of courage, craft and a collective appreciation for taste, into one short account. So here's the secret behind our signature smoothness – our process and our people.

John's Legacy Today

Through two World Wars, an Irish civil war and American prohibition, John's triple distilled whiskey has stood the test of time. While our heart still beats in our original home in Dublin, we've moved our distillery to Co. Cork, where we've enough room to make enough Jameson for the world to enjoy.

INGREDIENTS - Good things come in threes

Forget lucky number seven, our smoothness comes from our signature triple distillation process. It's the method our founder John Jameson built his name on and the legacy our Head Distiller Brian Nation upholds to this day.

OUR COOPERS - Oak aged

While Jameson is Irish through and through, our Head Cooper Ger Buckley turns to our friends in the United States and Spain to provide our casks.

MATURATION - So what allows Irish Whiskey to call itself Irish Whiskey?

Well, a pretty stringent law that states that a spirit must spend a minimum of three years maturing on the island of Ireland, to be lucky enough to be able to call itself Irish.

PRODUCTION - Grain to glass

At Jameson, we are proud to run a single distillery, which means we have full control over the production process, from grain to glass.

Also, you will have: Irish Cuisine and Special Green Cocktail, which are provided by Cheers Bar from the Grand Hyatt Hotel Taipei.
