[Event Announcement]

Due to the unstable pandemic situation, this month's Shaken Not Stirred will be cancelled. However, we will bring the King's Ginger to our Annual General Meeting on 27-May! Sorry for any inconvenience this might be caused you. Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to seeing you soon in the future.

Stay safe!

We will be presenting two cocktails blended with the King's Ginger

at Shaken not Stirred this month.

The King's Ginger Liqueur became famous in the reign of King Edward VII when, at the request of the King's doctor, it was produced as a warming drink for His Majesty to take after winter morning rides in his new horseless carriage. The distinctive smooth ginger flavour is perfectly balanced by a pleasingly clean, dry finish.

This month we're happy to have BCCTaipei member, Long Life Trading Co. Ltd., presenting The King's Ginger. Register today to enjoy the golden taste of their King's Ginger cocktails!

Your BCCTaipei monthly Shaken Not Stirred includes free-flowing beer, wine, soft-drinks and a light gourmet meal. Come to meet old friends and make new ones in a relaxed, informal setting!

What you're going to have at this month's SNS:

A Revitalising and Warming Spirit

First crafted by Berry Bros. & Rudd for King Edward VII in 1903, The King's Ginger is golden in colour and delightfully robust in flavour. A revitalising and warming spirit that brings people together.

Tasting Notes

  • Colour: Hay and straw, rich golden syrup.
  • Nose: it's unmistakably Ginger – a cloud of fresh natural ginger with a faint aura of zesty lemon swiftly entices the first sip.
  • Palate: the initial flow of ginger syrup sweetness is gently interrupted by the tingle of fresh ginger and a subtle and gentle uplift of lemon citrus. Warm, fulfilling and of great length.
  • ABV: 29.9%

The Perfect Foundation For Any Occasion

The King's Ginger is wonderfully uplifting when enjoyed on its own and comes to life in many delicious cocktails. It's the perfect foundation for any occasion.

Our Commitment To Sustainability

The King's Ginger is a brand rooted in legacy, and the greatest legacy we must pass down to the generations is a sustainable future. We are doing our part, starting by producing an entirely recyclable bottle.

Our Legacy - The Original Winter Warmer

King Edward VII would endlessly drive his beloved Daimler, whatever the weather. In 1903 the Royal Physician became concerned about the monarch's health. So, he called on Berry Bros. and Rudd for a solution: a high strength liqueur that would warm and revivify His Majesty. Crafted from ginger, (for centuries celebrated for its medicinal properties) The King's Ginger was born.

Why the new packaging, and why now?

Over the years The King's Ginger has been sold in a wide array of bottles and labels. After more than a century, we feel it is proper to give it a new look that will stand the test of time by reinforcing its peerless heritage and assert its premium credentials.

It's not every spirit that can see in its 117th Birthday. Revitalizing drinkers for over a century, it was time for The King's Ginger to enjoy the fruits of its own labour; to be revitalised. We wanted to make sure that King's continued to be the first choice for all our consumers, taking on concerns over alcohol percentage, and making it easier to mix in cocktails and enjoy from the hipflask, essentially amplifying the King's Ginger experience for existing lovers of the King's Ginger.

Two Special King's Ginger Cocktails you will have at BCCTaipei SNS this month
