Social media has certainly changed the way people communicate both to family and friends and in professional settings. Social networking can be an integral part of your job search or career building - if you use it correctly.
This month's Young Professionals workshop, we invite Christian Rose-Day, GREAT Marketing Manager for APAC at Department for International Trade, and Alexandra Pao, Managing Director at Edelman Public Relations to talk about how to use the power of social media to develop your career.
In this session, you will learn how to build up your LinkedIn portfolio and use social media to network and to boost your career. You'll also find tips on what you shouldn't do when it comes to social media and your career - and that's just as important as what you should do.
By the end of this session, you will:
- Practical method to operate your LinkedIn Profile, step by step on optimising your profile to maximise its exposure
- How to build your career development by social media
- Tips and tricks for improving your network/reach
- Understand how to enlarge your resources via digital social network
- Some personal sharing and learning in "how to build up your successful social networking"
This workshop is also collaborate with BCCT Young Professionals Workshop and BCCT Women in Business Committee for WIB Mentorship Programme to have a mid point check in.
