Making Mooncakes with Love and Care
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the British Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to join us in a special event: Making Mooncakes with Love and Care. Together with Cookinn Taiwan, we will embark on an exciting journey into the realm of Taiwanese mooncakes. During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn the secrets behind creating exquisite Taiwanese treats, including the renowned "egg yolk pastry," through easy-to-follow steps.
Under the expert guidance of a Cookinn Teacher, you will master the art of crafting Taiwanese 'Oil Pastry' delights. With finesse and simplicity, you will knead the dough, meticulously hand-roll it, and add the radiant touch of egg yolk pastries. Finally, you will adorn the mooncakes with sesame seeds, creating beautiful and delicious treats.
In the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, each participant will have the chance to create a total of 6 pastries, which will be thoughtfully packed in a special Cookinn gift box for you to take home.
But the festivities don't end there! After the mooncake-making session, we will visit the Home of Harmony, an organization that provides shelter, care, and treatment for children aged 6-12 with dysfunctional backgrounds. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to interact with the children, take a tour, and most importantly, share the love and joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival by presenting them with the mooncake packages we have lovingly prepared which come from parts of the fundings.
