BCCTaipei's UK Renewables Committee (UKRC) Internship Programme 2024


We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for an exciting internship opportunity in the renewable energy industry during the summer of 2024. 


Renewable energy is one of the fastest-growing industries currently providing more than 12 million jobs globally, and this number is expected to grow by 20% annually over the next few years. Taiwan has been at the forefront of Asia's renewable energy push, with the government committing to 20% of total electricity coming from renewable sources by 2025, predominantly from offshore wind. The UK has been at the forefront of offshore wind power development from the outset, building an unmatched reputation for innovation and supply chain development, and UK companies have been at the forefront of the development of Taiwan's offshore wind industry. BCCTaipei's UKRC boasts 36 member companies, actively working across all tiers of the industry in Taiwan today, and a number of these companies are participating in this BCCTaipei internship programme. 


 

This 2-3 month internship is your opportunity to gain priceless work experience in Taiwan's renewable energy industry.

The details are as follows:

Who are you:

  • A university student, or a recent graduate under the age of 26, or someone who has graduated within the last two years having studied a relevant subject
  • Interested in a career within the renewable energy industry
  • Motivated and keen to take on an internship with responsibility and defined deliverables
  • A good communicator with solid English language skills
  • A quick learner who loves challenges
  • Able to commit at least three days a week for the 2-3 month duration of the programme during the summer of 2024
  • Have the appropriate work permissions/residency status to undertake an internship in Taiwan
