In Taiwan, we have a team of experienced environmental consultants and engineers that provide environmental and engineering consultancy supporting sectors including offshore wind, renewables, offshore telecommunications cables, ports and harbours, as well as the food and beverage industry. NIRAS entered the offshore wind market in Taiwan in 2012 working on the very first offshore wind projects and established a subsidiary in 2016 providing services to a wide range of clients in Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.

Sulmara is an independent and international organisation established in 2019 founded on the principles of decarbonising the offshore survey sector by innovating with cutting edge technology to support the entire life-cycle of the Offshore Wind Farm including Geotechnical, Geophysical, UXO, Construction, Trenching, and Inspection/O&M.

Sulmara's survey services drive efficiency through the adoption of new technology and methodology to hasten the move towards a net zero carbon future. Whether it is performing seabed surveys using an Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) or supporting subsea construction activities from larger platform like the Orient Adventurer, Sulmara with its growing local team, has been busy contributing to Taiwan's Offshore Wind Farm Industry over the last couple of years.
