John Dennis is Representative at the British Office in Taipei. He was Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Angola from February 2014 until February 2018. He joined the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (formerly Foreign & Commonwealth Office, FCO) in 1981 and has worked on Asian, African and commercial affairs, with a range of overseas postings. He has also spent time on secondment to the private sector.
Biography
Tom Burn became Deputy Representative to Taiwan in July 2021.
Tom joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1999. Prior to his arrival in Taiwan, his most recent diplomatic posting was as Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, 2017-2020. His other diplomatic postings were both to Japan. His roles in London have covered UK relations with North East Asia and the Pacific, and EU Foreign and Security Policy. Tom was born in Shropshire. He graduated from Durham University.
