There is no application fee for the aAwards. Is Are there, however, any extra charges? For example, entry fees, award fees, and or sponsorships following a win?

請問報名此獎項除無須報名費外，是否還有其他任何的衍生費用呢？(如：參賽費、得獎費用、得獎後的贊助費等等。)

[Answer]

We do not charge any extra fees, such as entry or winning fees. If your company is chosen as one of the finalists, we will provide two complimentary tickets to the Awards Ceremony. However, you'll have to pay for the third attendee, and any other individuals who wish to attend. Besides this, there are no additional expenses.



我們不會額外收取任何衍生費用。若貴公司入圍，我們將提供兩張頒獎典禮入場席次，如有更多人想共襄盛舉，則需另外支付第三人及以上的票款，除此之外不需繳交任何費用。

Question 2:

Why does BCCTaipei choose to hold this Award if they don't charge any fees?

不收取任何費用的話，為何 BCCTaipei 要舉辦這個獎項呢？

We intend to give back to society while also praising individuals and corporations. We encourage everyone to contribute in order to make this country a better place.



本獎項旨在表揚個人及企業，以鼓勵更多企業一同努力實踐社會永續發展、重視友善環境、投入公益活動，並落實企業責任。

Question 3:

If we are not a BCCTaipei member or British Company, can we still apply for the Awards?

如果我們不是英僑商會的會員或是英國公司，我們可以申請獎項嗎?

[Answer]

Yes! Absolutely! One of BCCTaipei's main pillars is Responsible Business. Companies from both Taiwan and abroad are welcome to apply. We are more than happy to accept applications from any country for our Better Business Awards!

當然歡迎，英僑商會其中一個主要的任務是要推廣社會責任，我們非常歡迎台灣或外商各行業領域公司來申請各獎項。

Question 4:

Is it possible for a company to apply for more than one Award?

同一間公司可以報多於一個獎嗎？

[Answer]

Yes. We do not limit the number of Awards that companies can apply for. Therefore, we accept more than one Award application form per company, as long as they meet the requirements of each Award.

可以！本獎項並沒有限制公司申請獎項之數量，十分歡迎一家公司報名多個獎項。只要符合各獎項要求即可申請。

Question 5:

Which Award(s) are we suitable for?

我們適合哪個獎項呢？

[Answer]

This year, we're celebrating in seven areas. Your company may be interested in participating in one or more of them, depending on your specific circumstances:

• Business Leader of the Year Award: This award differs from the others, as it recognises business leaders' all-round achievements, including diversity & inclusion, social enterprise, sustainability and promoting cross-border economic relations, which represent our core values.
• Climate Champion Award: This award is presented to companies which have integrated climate action into all aspects of their business operations.
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award: This award is to recognises a companiesy operating in Taiwan that which demonstrates excellence and/or innovation in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
• Diversity: This award celebrates companies which champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Green Energy Award: This award has been established to recognise companies currently operating in Taiwan's renewable energy sector which have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to achieving this goal and have contributed to the development of Taiwan's domestic supply chain over the past twelve months.
• Innovation for Wellbeing Award: This award recognises companies which have supported health, safeguarding and wellness in Taiwan through innovative means, in hopes of making healthcare and wellbeing more accessible and affordable for people of all ages.
• Social Enterprise Award: This award is open to Taiwan-based social enterprises (company limited or company limited by shares).

今年獎項分別針對 7 個類別， 貴公司可根據自身狀況考慮參與評選：

• 最佳企業領袖獎：表彰鼓舞人心的領導者和永續發展倡導者。
• 最佳企業氣候行動獎：凡是有為減少碳足跡而採取重大企業政策、在氣候行動上處於領導角色的企業均可報名角逐。
• 企業社會責任獎：此獎項旨在表彰在台公司卓越創新的企業社會責任 (CSR) 計劃。
• 企業多元文化獎：表揚企業倡導多元文化與共融作出的努力。
• 最佳再生能源獎：此獎項鼓勵及表揚台灣優良再生能源相關企業，並促進產業界、學術界及公眾對再生能源的認識。
• 最佳創新健康福祉獎：通過創新來協助提升各年齡層之健康福祉的企業皆可報名參與。
• 社會企業獎：此獎項開放予台灣本地"社會企業 (社企公司)"報名參與評選。

Question 6:

We weren't finalists and/or winners the last year before. Is it possible for us to apply for this yearr again?

如果去年沒入圍/得獎，今年可以再報名嗎？

[Answer]

Yes. As there are various applications every year, the competitors will vary. Also, we believe that a company can substantially improve over the course of one year prior to reviewing. Consequently, we highly encourage companies to apply for the Award(s) again.



可以！本商會相信再經過一年後，貴公司相較於前一年一定有所進步。由於每年參與評選之企業都不同，有報名就有得獎機會。因此，我們非常鼓勵企業再次申請獎項。

Question 7:

If we won an Award last year, can we apply for the same Award this year?

If we were a Finalist last year, can we apply for the same Award this year? 

如果是該獎項去年得主，今年可以再報名嗎？

如果是該獎項去年入圍公司，今年可以再報名參加嗎?

[Answer]

For last year's Award Winner: 

No. In order to ensure the fairness and diversity of the Awards, last year's winners are not eligible to reapply for the same Award this year, however they are more than welcome to apply for other Award categories. 

For last year's Award Finalists:

Yes, please don't bedo not hesitated to apply for the same Aaward again this year. :) 

前一年的獎項得主:

為了讓更多人有機會可以參與角逐與提高多元性，該獎項上一屆得主無法再申請今年的該獎項，但我們很歡迎該公司申請其他獎項。

前一年的獎項入圍者:

我們目前對上一屆入圍者沒有任何限制，所有獎項皆可再申請!

Question 8:

Is it still possible to apply if our plans for COVID-19 have been disrupted?

因為疫情原本要做的都被打亂了，我們可以報名嗎？

[Answer]

Yes. As the COVID-19 situation in Taiwan has escalated since mid-May, many companies' plans have been disrupted or strained in reaching their targets. Nonetheless, we still encourage you to apply for the Awards. You may specify your initial plan and some programme as evidence from the pre-pandemic phase on the application form. Our judges will sympathise with your circumstances.

自去年5 月中旬，本地疫情日益嚴峻，許多公司的計劃因此被打亂，甚至無法執行。然而，我們仍鼓勵各企業申請獎項，另可在申請表上闡述貴公司原訂計劃或是疫情前有做到的實證，深信評審皆能理解。

Question 9:

Is there a Chinese application form?

獎項有中文申請表嗎？

[Answer]

No. To minimise misconceptions caused by translation, we only offer an English language application form; however, we accept forms completed in English or Chinese only. It is only the Green Energy Award and Climate Champion Award which must be completed in English.

為免產生誤會，我們只提供英文申請表，但填寫的語言則中英皆可。最佳再生能源以及最佳企業氣候行動獎目前僅接受英文。

Question 10:

Can we still apply despite our firm's small size?

我們公司規模很小，也可以參與嗎？

[Answer]

The size of the company has no bearing on the deliberation of the Awards. All corporations are encouraged to apply.

獎項評選並不取決於公司的規模，任何企業皆歡迎參與評選。
